Yeah, like this is a big change, at the rate I've been updating. Sheesh. Going down to Fla-dee-dah tomorrow and while I'll prolly be taking the 'puter with me, I don't know if I'm going to have the time/connection to update.

The last full day I had off was Tuesday of last week, when I called in sick after my Savannah adventure. Sunday and Monday was inventory, so I worked then. We were given the option of taking one day off during our usual working week and I insisted on Saturday so I could trundle down to FL and get there at a reasonable hour, instead of tripping down after work and getting there after dark. Long and short of it, I spent most of this afternoon on the couch when I got home from work. I was TIDE.

Sunday afternoon, after work, I needed to do something odd, so I slapped on some sunscreen and headed downtown to take pictures of buildings. I'll put 'em up for viewing Real Soon Now--they just need to be tweaked and brought down to a reasonable size. Atlanta has some fascinating architecture--buildings with intricate stonework and lions up on the roof and stuff. You could spend quite some time just working your way around the Candler Building going "oooooooh" and "aaaaaaaah". The camera started to glitch out of me after a while--I think the battery was running low--so I curtailed my photography in a bit of frustration and just wandered. I need to do that sometimes.

I quietly put in for another day off at the end of the month so I can go to a Burning Man-type festival happening in North Carolina called Transformus. I'm still not sure if I'm going to chicken out at the last minute and just have an extra day off. We'll see.
