An unexpectedly nice evening . . .
Apr. 12th, 2007 11:11 pmSo I was at home, fiddling with Photoshop Elements and I figured out how to do alpha channels in such a way that they will actually work in Second Life. Suffice to say, this is a Good Thing, particularly if I want to figure out clothing design.
I texted Mr. TBH about it. He was happy to hear it. He also mentioned "I'm in front of your house..."
"So come on over..." I texted back to him, assuming he was on his way somewhere and couldn't actually stop.
Then I heard the sound his phone makes when it gets a text message. And then I heard the knock on the door.
He was on his way back from a catering gig and decided to drop by.
Not as much happened as one would think. He actually ended up installing my shiny new towel rack, though he insisted on a trip to Lowe's to get hardware that was more substantial than what came in the box. Then he departed into the night, broke down and got a drink at 5 Seasons, just down the street, texted me to say so and I went down and had a glass of wine with him. We chatted about Second Life, about music, sports, and about famous people of various stripes that we'd met. I pretty much shut him down with the following sentence--"Harlan Ellison was the best man at my sister's wedding."
I love the fact that I can say that.
He conceded defeat at that point.
So, anyway, I had a lovely time and now I'll probably hop on Second Life for a bit after I post this and say goodnight all over again.
Today I took pleasure in the morning sunlight through the trees as I drove to work.
Today I learned some of the screenplay ideas that Mr. TBH has in mind.
