Boy Howdy

Sooooo . . . hi.

Chattacon was fun, in a very low-key kind of way. docwhoopee threw his usual party, only this time there was no theme whatsoever, just the bar, some munchie food and good company. Still had a great time. Ran into the infamous Jay Finch (pickmansraven) after many an age, and we caught up on our respective lives. Also ran into John Hudgens and got the latest word on his film American Scary, which debuted in Hollywood back in October and is now making the rounds on the festival circuit. (I really, really want to see this film.)

The party was marred by the jerks on the fifth floor who saw fit to piss and throw lit cigarette butts on the awning Sean had set up for smokers out on the patio. After a little wrangling with the fellows in charge of the party in question, Sean managed to get reimbursed for the damage.

One thing I learned that weekend--Pedialyte is the best hangover cure ever. Drink a bottle before you go to bed and you'll wake up unscathed. Seriously.

The rest of this week has been recovery and laundry. Oh, and I went over to Mr. TBH's place and we watched my copy of Carnival of Souls. He thought it was "weird" and remarked that it lacked MST3K commentary, which amused me greatly.

Today I took pleasure in talking to a dear friend after a long, long time of not hearing from her.

Today I learned that she had her baby and she's doing fine.
