Getting the hang of Thursday . . .
Nov. 9th, 2006 08:24 pmBashed out about 1800 words between tasks at work. Did a little more between sorting my drawers for the move. So if I plug out 1750 words a day from here through the 30th, I'll be okay. I think it's doable, esp. with the weekend coming up.
Kevin phoned up last night and we talked of many things. He asked me if any of the characters in my novel were going to die. (Keep in mind, I haven't told him--or anyone--what the plot of my novel entails.) I told him that one of them might, but it depends on how the novel ends up taking shape. At the point I'm at, the character in question has just finally shown up, so it'll be a while before he kicks it. The dynamic should be interesting, since the main character seems to have such contempt for this guy, but needs him desperately to prove that she's not completely insane. Which is probably about as much as I feel like saying about the plot right now.
So, yeah. The Julia Dream are playing tomorrow night, which should be fun. I think The Forty-Fives are playing on Saturday. It will be a good weekend for loud music.
Today I took pleasure in a very-bad-for-you but ever-so-tasty hot dog for lunch.
Today I learned we're going to start doing some North Carolina cases at work.
