Friday Night Funtime
Apr. 28th, 2006 10:26 pmI swear, I'm not going to make a blog entry every time I see a new episode of Doctor Who, but, um, I just saw tonight's ("Father's Day") and, um . . . wow. I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll just say that it's the first time a television show has made me cry in I don't even know how long.
(Which, really, says more about the amount of television I watch--which is next to nil--then it does about the effectiveness of the show itself. 'Cos I'm moved to tears the moment things get the slightest bit mushy. Ask anybody who knows me.)
I was under the mistaken impression that Sci Fi was still doing the Friday night lineup such that there was a Who rerun at 8:00 and new Who at 9:00. So I spent the first five minutes or so of Stargate SG-1 waiting for the TARDIS to show up. Which was a bit like being handed cold Dunkin Donuts when you were expecting a fresh, hot Krispy Kreme.
Today I took pleasure in watching an episode of Doctor Who I hadn't seen before.
Today I learned that SUV dealers like to advertise on the Neal Boortz radio show. (Which doesn't really surprise me.)
