Whoo-hoo!

I was supposed to go thrifting with Cute Boy again, but let's just say some really fucked-up circumstances got in the way and leave it at that. It gave me time to write, so that was good. And I got into a very good intoxicating groove, which was delightful. I'm up to 8,436 words on my NaNovel. Which is WAY behind on average, but definitely farther than I was this morning. And my characters are finally in Florida and at their destination. Wahey! At the rate this is going, it's probably not going to reach 50,000 words by the time I hit the end of it, but I stand a better chance of having it narratively complete by the end of the month. We'll see. I'm getting a better feel for the characters--they're starting to differentiate themselves instead of just being two halves of one person. I still don't know if the result will be publishable, but the writing has gotten fun again, which feels good. Maybe I can keep the habit well into December.
