Whew!

Okay, so it's been a while. Let's see. Mom had her retirement party and all the family in the area came out to celebrate. She was showered with many thanks and gifts and Dad even fired up the kiln and made a copper enamel pin for the first time in a few decades. It said "Someday Is Now". Words I should consider living by, even still being a working stiff.

Dragon Con was fine. Crowded as hell, but was Guest Of A Guest so I was able to retreat to the green room where most of the people I knew were anyway. I've got to get something published or something so I land myself a guest membership and not have to hassle with getting in on someone else's graces. Anyway. My brother threw one of his infamous Elvis parties--the theme was Blue Hawaii this time--so that's where I spent most of my Saturday night. Spent most of my Sunday night in somebody's lap. Much fun.

I'm going to wind down and go to bed now, so I can actually get up and get to work on time.
