Ask me any three questions (or less) and I'll answer all of them 100% truthfully.

1.
2.
3.

Then copy this into your journal and see what others ask about you.

I am really not expecting anyone to ask me anything but I figure I'll give you a few.

1.Are you going to the 'rents for Thanksgiving?

2.How's the condo now that you have had it over a year?

3.What color underwear are you wearing?

1. Of course. Where else would I go?

2. Still a bit untidy, but I love it, because it's entirely my own mess.

3. Navy blue. It's a good time of the month for dark underwear, if you know what I mean.

1. Are you doing NaNoWriMo this year? Or am I imagining that?
2. How often do you go out to shows, anyway?
3. So, before me it was, what, Ian Webber? Kenny Howes? Tell the truth! :) Did you love them more than me? I can take it... :)

1. I am, I just don't want to talk about it much right now because I'm appallingly behind.

2. It honestly depends on who's playing and where. I don't go out as often as I used to now that it's a half-hour or so to get to the cool places from where I am. Some bands are drop-everything bands, others are if-I'm-up-for-it bands. The other problem is, most of my drop-everything bands have either broken up (Tender Idols, The Changelings, Smoke) or are rarely, if ever, playing (Kenny Howes and the Yeah!, The Arts and Sciences, ahem.)

3. It was Ian before Kenny and Kenny before you. And I love you all in different ways. :) (And it's funny now all these questions intersect, because this year's NaNo is a sort of love letter to all the bands I've ever crushed on.)

Yes, I know, we have been pretty lame. Not sure it will get better anytime soon. But who knows?

Wait, does that mean there's a 'me' in this writing exercise? Or is it more general than that?

It is far more general than that. I've taken, shall we say, the dynamics of my crushes on certain bands and musicians and used them, but the characters are pretty much themselves. I made up a lot of band names, though I was tempted to include a band called Jimmy Wise and the Hey! just for fun. June (the main character) and I have many things in common, mostly because I'm writing in a hurry and don't have time to invent much, but there are things she does that I don't do. (She can draw, for example, which wound up being a major plot point in the previous volume I wrote last year--this year's novel is a sequel/conclusion of it.) The initial relations between her and Michael (the love interest) had certain resemblances to my crush on Ian, but Michael himself is nothing like Ian, other than being in a band that June is devoted to. I keep finding things out about him as I write.

There's also this extra layer of weirdness on top of it that I haven't gotten into, and would have a hell of a time describing. I'm getting ready to dive back into that part of the plot, and I need to take a step back and figure out where the hell it's going.
