Dec. 25th, 2014 05:21 pmHappy Merry Christmas to you and yours! I'm spending mine with my folks as per usual. My niece Caroline made out with most of the gifts under the tree but I'm okay with that. I got an iPhone 6 so I think I did fine.
This year's movie was Into The Woods. I'd never seen or heard the stage production, so I went in with no expectations. I was entertained, but I was entertained in a once-is-enough kind of way. The ending (spoiler alert!) is hopeful but not happy and I've got enough to struggle with in my own life.
Several Christmas rituals remain--the carving of the roast beast, the visit to The House of Many Trees and the Party of Dave. And there's eleven more days of Christmas to play with, so who knows what can happen.
Today I took pleasure in getting up early on Christmas morning.
Today I learned they're making another Cinderella movie.
