Back to the Dole Queue on Monday

The gig at the law firm wrapped up last week, which I'm fine with, because it means that I have a few day's grace to recover and wrap up loose ends before leaving the country for a couple of weeks. Today has thus far been spent on updating my resume, cleaning house and drawing flowers.

The party was low-key, as it was last year. I think next year I'm just going to assume I'm the only person who will definitely be there and shop accordingly. I have way too much food left over and only about four days to eat it. I'm also thinking I need to revise the rules of the Mathom Pile so that anything that isn't claimed by midnight goes back to the person who brought it.

On the plus side, the house is cleaner than it's been in a while and I won't have too many days to mess it up before I leave for Italy on Friday. Maybe I should start figuring out what I'm going to pack.

Today I took pleasure in taking a nap in my own bed after lunch.
