Well, that was quick . . .

Got my 2010 Census form and filled it out in, oh, maybe three minutes, tops. (I am a white female of a certain age who owns my home and lives alone. Thank you and goodnight.) It's certainly less demanding than the Monitoring The Future questionnaire that the University of Michigan has been sending me every couple of years since high school, which still keeps asking me if I've ever been to a rave or taken ecstasy. (Er, no on both counts, thanks for your concern.)

My parents are paying me to scan the family photos into digital form so that they may be archived and sorted and it's been a bit like bomping around in a TARDIS--grab one envelope and it's pictures of my high school graduation in 1988. Grab another, and it's St. Augustine, Florida in 1979. I find myself doing things like counting candles on birthday cakes in order to estimate the year. At some point, I'll see about getting some copies to post here and maybe on Facebook or something.

For an unemployed bum, I seem to have a heck of a lot to do lately. All I can really say at this point.

Today I took pleasure in finding out that my advice had been taken in a certain situation.
