They ended up offering a job to someone full-time who already knows QuickBooks, so they won't be needing me next week. They might be needing me the week after, they're not sure. When the lawyer on maternity leave comes back, they might need another staff person. We'll see.

So, yeah. Back to the drawing board. My state benefits ran out, so I'm running on Federal benefits now. I at least have two weeks of income to stave off that particular inevitable.

Sigh.
