wonderbink: The outline of a star surrounded by tiny (illegible) writing (makeawish (by piperredfern))
Another five thousand words and I'll be where I should have been the day before yesterday.

So my protagonist has gone from hanging out with a rock band to riding on the back of a dragon.

Yeah, it's one of those kinds of novels.

Today I took pleasure in that rush of creativity when problems present themselves and the solutions emerge one moment later.

Today I learned plugs for laptops are at a bit of a premium at the Barnes and Noble cafe.

. . . okay, I hit the climax and now I've got to spend 17,000 more words hashing out the aftermath.

There will be much padding and excessive detail, methinks. Actually, I have a sort of subplot that got pipe laid for that I should probably put a little time into, so maybe I'll work on that and see if I can integrate it better in the rewrite.
