Yaye Creativity!
Mar. 26th, 2007 10:26 pmSo this story I've been poking at in fifteen minute increments for the past several weeks (it seems) has finally reached something resembling an ending. It's a little over seven thousand words long and I'm really not sure if it has a point, but I needed to get it out of my system just to see if it could be done.
Now I have to figure out what to do with my writing time while I let that one sit for a bit.
Meanwhile in Second Life, after much trial and a lot of error, I made a chair. It's a groovy sort of mod chair with a zebra cushion. I might still tweak it a bit (at this point, it doesn't even have a base, it just kinda floats in midair) but it's way ahead of where I was when I started on this idea. I knew I was getting somewhere when somebody wandered up to me while I was building and said something like "Hey, look, a chair." So that felt good.
Memo to self: Sleep is terrific stuff. Try to stay properly supplied with it, will you?
Today I took pleasure in taking the trash out. I know, it sounds a little weird, but there's something oddly freeing about getting crap out of your house. Particularly on a nice day.
Today I learned that the Africam website apparently doesn't play nicely with Safari the way I currently have it configured. Bummer.
