So, um, yeah
Dec. 5th, 2006 08:49 pmLeaving for L. A. on Thursday. Still only have the vaguest of notions what I'm going to be doing there, but I've been pinging various people and making we-should-get-together noises. So we'll see.
Went to Eyedrum on Saturday for a benefit show for WRAS, the Georgia State University radio station. There was a long list of bands of various genres all of whom were quite good. I picked up a couple of EPs by a band called Boulevard, who were note-perfect neo-80s synthpop and was bit bummed to discover that were actually a local band, but now they're packing their toys and going up to New York. Figures.
I'm readjusting to the concept of not having to bash out 2000 words each day. I'm just hoping I don't take the freed up time and end up burning it all on the internet.
I think unpacking in earnest will commence upon my return from California. I did manage to unpack a few more boxes of books, but few things are more distracting than books when I'm trying to organize things. "Ooh! Shiny!" *readreadread* "Oh, crap, where did the time go?"
Oh, and I went and tinted my hair again. Came out a little brighter than I anticipated, but it'll fade over time anyway.
Work is now in tidy-things-up-before-I-go-away mode. Funny how much I can get done when that happens.
Today I took pleasure in the feel of my newly-conditioned hair. (I swear the only time I condition it it when I dye it.)
Today I learned where the AAA office is on Roswell Road.
