But I'm not. There's a whole laundry list of Bad Shit Happening.
My washer and dryer set is leaking water during the spin cycle and screeching to a halt when drying. So I have to get a new one.
My refrigerator is also leaving a little puddle of water on the floor, so I likewise have to get a new one. Unlike the washer/dryer set, it's covered by the home insurance thingy I signed up with when I closed on the condo. The bad news is, it has to be replaced. The good news is, they've just gotten me a new fridge. They'll be delivering it next week. The bad news is, the service doesn't cover disposal of the previous fridge. So I have to pony up about a hundred bucks to get somebody to make the old fridge go away.
Oh, and my health insurance is gafarked because they have my birthday wrong in the system. As flattered as I am to be mistaken for someone seven years younger, it's going to take all kinds of paperwork to correct the error.
Did I leave anything out? But, it's weird, I'm not nearly as stressed out about it as I could be. Because I realize that the amount of energy put into worrying about things does not count as effort expended toward solving the problem.
At any rate, not a hell of a lot's going to be done until DragonCon blows over. I'm pretty much resigned to that.
So if anybody has any spare pozzies around that they're not using for anything important, please feel free to send them my way to smooth out the rough patches I've been tripping over lately. Thanks.
Today I took pleasure in Nick Drake on the headphones as I watched the rain fall past the window.
Today I learned how to file a Writ of Possession when the copy of the contract has gone severely missing.
