And She's Off! (kinda . . . )

So my PerNoWriMo is off to a less-than-auspicious beginning, since the very first day of it, I didn't get a single word down on it. But my brother was in town, the family was together for dinner, that's my excuse.

I took a fresh notebook with me so I could work things out on my lunch hour. Again, no such luck. Couldn't make myself work on it.

It took slow traffic on the drive home to get me to pick up a pen when I was stuck at the stop lights and just freakin' write. So I got a paragraph or two in (yeah, traffic was that bad) and typed it all up when I got home and kept going. I'm still way behind, but, hey, I've got a month. And I'm giving up trying to be brilliant and just working on getting it all down.

Today I took pleasure in driving with the windows down and the sunroof open.

Today I learned how to work the paper shredder at the office.
