Good news!
Jan. 31st, 2006 10:52 amI have a new job!!!!!!!!
I will be a paralegal at a tiny little law firm that specializes in bankruptcy and foreclosures. I start on the 15th. I've just typed up my two weeks notice. (I'm at home today with an injured back, in case you were wondering why I'm posting at this hour.)
I'll be making twice what I've been making at Borders. Really. Literally. TWICE. AS. MUCH.
What's even better about this is that my manager was talking about how hard jobs are to find these days, as a sort of veiled threat to scare us into providing better customer service. Yeah, this is how hard jobs are to get--they phoned me with an offer the day I interviewed and emailed me a formal offer the next day. So. There.
Pleasure and learning will follow in a later entry. I haven't learned anything yet.
