Walking to nowhere while watching TV
Sep. 22nd, 2005 10:14 pmI just signed up for the Colony Square Athletic Club which was running a special--$249 for a year's membership. I was expecting a few extra gotcha fees but there weren't any. It's a nice little club, too--all the cardio machines have little TV screens hooked up to them with Comcast cable, making walking in place a little less tedious (though that may depend on what you're watching.) They also have group exercise sessions included in the membership--the weekly yoga classes alone should be worth the investment.
So I'll have my first workout tomorrow, after much slackness. Wish me, um, luck.
Today I took pleasure in scampering down to The Vortex on my lunch hour for a big, stupid cheeseburger.
Today I learned which stairs not to use when emerging to the surface from the Colony Square parking deck. (The ones I used let me out, but wouldn't let me back in to return to my car.)
