The Ides of April
Apr. 14th, 2005 09:12 pmMy taxes are done, go me. My W-2 form got lost in the mail, but I was able to download a fresh copy thanks to a nifty service Borders uses. I kept forgetting to get the website address from work, but a little Googling solved that problem. Then it was just a question of punching in the numbers on TurboTax and printing the stuff out. I'm getting about $100 back in Federal taxes and $170 in Georgia taxes. I'll probably just plug the money into my savings account and try not to think about it.
Yesterday was a forced day off from work because they need me to work Saturday, which is Educators Appreciation Weekend. I did several loads of laundry and wasted far too much time on the Internet.
Laurell K. Hamilton's latest Merry Gentry novel, A Stroke of Midnight has hit the shelves. I'll probably borrow it next weekend, read it, laugh, and bring it back. I love that I can do that.
Tomorrow I'm going to pester
