Not much to speak of . . .
Feb. 21st, 2005 06:57 pm. . . though I should know better than to let a little thing like that stand between me and a LiveJournal entry, shouldn't I?
We have a functional kitchen again. The Silestone counters do look nice, but the cabinet doors and linoleum patterns are still stuck in 1973 Bright Primary Color mode, giving the overall effect of a mismatched outfit. (Much like the one Mrs. Yasmin le Bon was caught wearing here.)
I did sign up for the paralegal program. Expect me to disappear around the end of March. In the meantime, the 'rents are urging me to Get My Proverbial Shit Together between now and when classes start, so I'm making my way through the boxes in the basement and finding things I forgot I owned in the first place.
I went shopping on eeeeeeeevilBay and discovered that the email account I'd been using to do my dealings there was dead. I set up a new one on gmail, and updated my PayPal stuff as well. So now I can maybe do something about the crap that I keep threatening to auction off.
I've gone from Duranism straight back to Izzardism. There seems to be less drama in Eddie-land, but then maybe I haven't dug deeply enough to find out.
Oh, and I wrote a story. Re-wrote, actually. It was a story I came up with when I was doing an exercise involving writing a story using only words of one syllable. I even sent it out and got a polite rejection letter back. So I decided to write it again with a few more syllables involved and make it first person instead of third. It still seems to be missing something, but it does flow a little better than the staccato original. We'll see. I have a lot in mind for this character, possibly even a novel, but for now this story will do.
So, um, that's about all I can think of for now. I'll have to go out and do something outlandish just so I'll have something to write about.
