Well, I got the call back from the nursing school for the second round of interviews. They tried to get me to come in on Wednesday the 16th, but obviously I had to ask for a reschedule, so I'm going in Monday. Please continue to send pozzie vibes; they've definitely helped so far.
The reading at Java Monkey that I bailed out of 'cos of my bad feeling was apparently a really dead reading, according to those at the Notebook Society who were there. Sometimes my intuition spooks the hell out of me.
One week to California! I'm starting to get excited. Some people are miffed because they were hoping to witness the Very Very First Show On US Soil In Eighteen Years of the Taylor/Taylor/Taylor/Rhodes/LeBon combo, but then the powers that be went and scheduled another show in a tiny little club the night before. My plane arrives the morning of the 16th, so I can't make it, but I'm really not angsted about it. I'm missing the Vegas shows, too. I'm just going to make the most of what I've got--which is what life should be about anyway.
