Birthday Weekend
Jun. 13th, 2004 10:55 pmSo, with a wild Saturday night ahead of me, I went out and got an MST3K DVD ("The Atomic Brain") from Videodrome and a bottle of Arbor Mist blackberry merlot and kicked back for an evening. I ended up going through the above as well as two Monty Python episodes, the Duran Duran Greatest DVD and a couple of glasses of amaretto and cream. All by my little lonesome. (Did I mention I came up as INFP on the Meyers-Briggs Test? This explains a lot.)
Sunday I did the usual Sunday business and then in the afternoon went to the fabulous Fox Theater to see Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring with my sister-in-law. My older brother would have come with, but he had work to catch up on, so we agreed to meet up after the show, grab a bite to eat and head back into the Fox to see The Two Towers. (They're showing The Return of the King tomorrow night.) The one-two whammy of seeing the films back-to-back was kinda intense. It was good to have a break for dinner at a shiny happy restaurant. (Bridgetown Grill, for you Atlanta types who would know.)
Tomorrow I get to open my presents. Whee! Weather permitting, I'll go out for a wander. Should be fun.
