wonderbink: The outline of a star surrounded by tiny (illegible) writing (Default)

The app I was using to occasionally post on this here journal is not playing nicely with my shiny new iPhone, so I picked up another app and this entry is the test drive. I figure I spend more time on the phone than I do on the computer when it comes to internetty things, so maybe having this will increase the likelihood that I will post here.

I finished a draft of a novella last week. I'd feel better about it if I hadn't been trying to write a novel. I've stuck it in the drawer for now while I bash out a synopsis of the work that preceded it--a novel I plan to start submitting come the new year.

I played guitar in public again. I did a rendition of "The Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel. I wasn't 100% happy with my performance, but the response was quite positive. I plan for my next song to be "The Edge of America" by Duran Duran. We'll see how it goes.

I'm still unemployed, still looking, still frustrated. My moods have improved since the latest med adjustment but there's only so much the meds can do.

So that sums things up for now. Now to see if it posts.

Today I took pleasure in a big, stupid hamburger.

Today I learned the wait times at the clinic lab are longer if you come in later in the morning.
